Daybreak Classes

Discovering Daybreak

Perhaps you're wondering, "How can I get better connected at Daybreak?" We'd encourage you to take the next step in becoming involved at Daybreak by joining one of our Discovering Daybreak Classes. These classes are Daybreak's vehicle for communicating valuable information to you. Any adult is welcome to take these classes and we recommend that you take them consecutively. Every month these classes are offered and are usually held on Sunday.

Discovering Daybreak Classes are designed to help you function as a vital part of the church. You are important to us and we'd like to help you to become a person empowered by Jesus to make a difference in our world today. For you that may mean becoming firmly rooted in your faith; it may mean seeking membership, getting involved in a ministry, or learning and applying the Great Commission skills. Whatever it may be, come on...take the next step!

ABC's of Daybreak
If you are a new attendee, if you've been around for awhile, or if you're "just looking", then we ask you to take a closer look. Your next step is to join us in what we call the "ABC's of Daybreak." This single-session meeting is the first in a series of classes that leads you through the Transformation process. That process is one that will allow you to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. This class explains our vision, strategy, how we function, and gives each person the opportunity to become a member of Daybreak Community Church. Pastor Dan teaches this class once a month and childcare is provided.

Spiritual Maturity
This 4-week (or 4 hours) class explores practical ways to develop maturity in your walk with God. With an emphasis on Biblical study and a commitment to Christian fellowship, this class exists to help Christians as they grow in Christ. It provides a 21st century approach and focuses on the development of the habits which foster continuing spiritual growth. You will find this material as a key component in becoming an active part in the Community of Christ. Pastor Harold teaches this class which is usually held during Second Service.

S.H.A.P.E. Class
Do you ask yourself, "How can I get involved?" Well the S.H.A.P.E. Class will help you get headed in the right direction. The Bible tells us that God has given all of His followers' spiritual gifts that they can use to glorify Him and become a part of His ministry. This class helps individuals identify those gifts and learn how to apply them. This single-session meeting will prepare you for Ministry and service within Daybreak Community Church. Ministry Director Nancy Cowie teaches this class once a month, which usually meets during Second Service.

Contagious Christianity
Here at daybreak we believe it is important for every believer to have evangelism tools to reach their friends. Contagious Christianity provides you with effective ways to share the Gospel. Members of the Daybreak church body are encouraged to become a part of Outreach through extending ourselves to the unchurched and looking for opportunities to share Christ's love. This 4-week course will help you develop your own evangelistic style as well as a heart for missions..
