We value providing local and cross-cultural experiences that allow
followers to realize the Great Commission by building relationships with people and sharing the message of salvation. We believe that exiting people to do mission work should be the natural outgrowth of God's
church. Daybreak pursues God in His mission to reach the international community with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
"And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'" Mark 16:15
God came to us in the form of a missionary, His Son, Jesus Christ. As followers of Christ we have the command to go to the ends of the earth to tell His story.
We seek to engage every member of Daybreak in cross-cultural mission opportunities. This may be praying, giving or going. By following God within mission
settings He changes lives, the lives of those served and the lives of those serving.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…" Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJ)
Daybreak contributes weekly to the support of over 4,000 international missionaries through the International Mission Board (SBC). From within our congregation, we
have recently supported 1 missionary to Ethiopia, 2 to Nepal and regular support trips to our sister church in Tijuana, Mexico. Presently, we have several young adults
praying about going to Philippines, Germany, Turkey, as well as other international locations. Please be in prayer with them.
Currently active international projects include:
- Prayer & Support for the unreached people groups.
- Specifically the Osing peoples in East Java, Indonesia.
- "Operation Christmas Child" through Samaritan's Purse.
- Prayer & Support of Tijuana Mission Church.
- Prayer, Support & Training Programs for student missionaries from within our congregation.
Currently active local projects include:
- Prayer & Support of Kairos - San Diego Prison Outreach.
- Christmas in April.
- Neighborhood Prayer Walks.
- CornerStone Concerns Ministry.

CornerStone Concerns Ministry (CCM) People Helping People
CornerStone Concerns Ministry is an Outreach ministry that connects people who want to share their gifts of time and service with someone else who cannot afford to pay for such assistance.
With a church our size, we are blessed with an abundance of talent, resources, and people who are willing to help. The function of our ministry is to provide a vehicle to match the providers with those in need.
There are many teams in which you can assist so everyone can contribute to helping out someone else in need. These teams include Home Repair, Auto Repair,
Professional Services, Domestic Assistance and Meal Assistance.
"Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives." Titus 3:14 (NIV)
Do you want to volunteer to help?
If you would like to help another person fulfill a need, please contact Nancy Cowie at [email protected] or by calling 931-7773 ext. 17.
We will send you some documents to complete so we will have you on file when a need arises that will match your talents and schedule. We will also send you more
information on CCM so you can have more of an idea of what great opportunities exist for you to make a difference in someone's life.
Please let Nancy know if you are interested in Domestic and Meals (babysitting, cooking, cleaning, errands, small moving jobs, etc.), Home Repair (carpentry,
plumbing, painting, electrical work, landscaping, gardening), Auto Repair (minor repairs and maintenance), or Professional Services (medical, accounting, dental, real estate, computer, attorney).
Do you need help with something?
If you are in a situation in which you might need immediate, temporary assistance with something, please contact us. We will discuss your personal situation and decide if
CCM would be able to assist you. This program is based exclusively on volunteers so there are limitations in what CCM can offer.
All recipients of our service must complete a Cornerstone Concerns Service request form and be approved for help by the Cornerstone Concerns Committee. We must
know we are helping someone in need and not just doing a favor for a friend.
We need at least three days to assign the job to one of our service providers. Moving assignments must have a seven-day turn around time.
